The new 7,200-square-meter two-story warehouse was officially opened on Sunday at the EZDubai Logistics Hub, with the participation of the management of Dior and Dubai South, including the Middle East President of Dior Pierre De Maigret and the Worldwide Supply Chain and Logistics Director of Dior Anne Borde.

The brand’s Dubai South warehouse will enable the company to make its collections available to the Middle East’s clients faster and be closer to its boutiques’ inventory in the region. The new distribution center would serve as an essential supply hub for Dior’s e-commerce platform in the UAE.

Dubai South’s strategic location was one of the reasons why it was chosen to host Dior’s new warehouse. As a logistics corridor, EZDubai offers access to Jebel Ali Port and is located near Al Maktoum International Airport, allowing Dior to utilize sea, air, and land transportation from one logistics node.

That combination has made Dubai South an increasingly popular base for global companies seeking to consolidate their Middle East supply chains, with Dior joining a growing roster of international logistics operations already established at the hub.

Nabil Alkindi, Group CEO of Dubai South, said the opening reflected continued confidence among international companies in Dubai as a strategic hub for regional operations, noting that the free zone’s role was to give businesses the infrastructure to manage supply chains, reach key markets and plan long-term growth.

Sustainability featured prominently in the project’s design. The centre has secured LEED Gold certification, and Dior said it would use the facility to advance several environmental goals, including optimising transport routes, cutting single-use plastic from packaging, and shifting a greater share of shipments to sea freight.

The company is also introducing electric vehicles for last-mile deliveries within the UAE, part of a wider push to lower the carbon footprint of its regional logistics chain.

The launch follows a broader trend of global brands establishing dedicated distribution operations in Dubai South, which has positioned itself as a logistics gateway connecting the Gulf with wider Middle East and African markets. Alawasat News
